I have just uploaded a fresh set of images taken recently at four locations of the Bel & The Dragon, which are a wonderful group of country inns dotted around the west of outer London. These elegant and unique inns have been beautifully styled by Nicola Harding Design, each one has something quirky and fun, setting it apart from the others. I visited Reading, Cookham, Odiham and Kingsclere, all beautiful; Reading was extraordinary, set in an old Gasworks warehouse with a river boat alongside also for dining in, the space and style were fabulous and I loved all the beautiful furniture, new and old. Lighting in all the properties is so thoughtfully placed and the vintage style is definitely a signature touch. I loved Kingsclere for its intimacy and beautiful brickwork and there is a real sense of history as you enter the B&TD in Odiham which is quite wonderful. The rooms at Cookham were incredible, some were quite small but perfectly formed using clever spacial ideas; through one of the bathrooms was a little a secret hideaway, once inside it became a fantastic child’s bedroom, just delightful. The Bel & The Dragon in Cookham was so lovely that some friends and I met up there for lunch one Saturday, it didn’t disappoint, the Chocolate Nemesis was utterly delicious!
