These dark, wet, galeforce days have seemed truly relentless. At the beginning of the week the wind peaked at 53mph and the loud roar of the woods was rather terrifying.
This year has been abundant so far with new opportunities and exciting potential collaborations, a very positive and inspiring start to 2016. It began with capturing just a few of the wonderful and talented makers around the Stroud valleys for the SIT Select Trail Brochure, some of whose work I will share on my blog in due course.
I was also commissioned to photograph a frosty winter garden and those 2 days we had at -5.5oC giving perfect conditions to dust off the thermals and get out there for sunrise, thankfully not too early on these winter days! The light and a hard frost were ideal, together with the company of 25 curious alpacas, a real treat.
It feels rather bland to be sharing this set of images but aside from some the more interesting work I’ve been shooting, it’s actually lovely to appreciate the inspiration that surrounds my cottage and here are the lovely bare bones of Lightwood.
