I loved this shoot of Gizzi Erskine, taken back in August this year, at the new Cookhouse at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire. It was a fabulous demonstration of eating healthily but with a naughty decadent pudding, which was to die for… Chocolate and Salted Caramel Molten Puddings, say no more! Gizzi has a fun and infectious personality, her creations are delicious and inspiring and her style is unique and fabulous.
PR/Event photography is where it began for me back in the naughty nineties, it made me reminisce about all the amazing trips I’d been on. I remember being commissioned to photograph travel agents being seduced by the resorts and their hotels, the resulting images were definitely evidence of them making the most of the hospitality, hopefully they were successful in promoting them when they were back at their desks! I got taken to far flung destinations like St Lucia, the Seychelles and Jamaica to name just few, being young and carefree it really was a wonderful opportunity and I had a ball. Back in the UK I was photographing chefs at hotels like The Savoy and The Waldorf, Anton Mosimann’s 50th birthday party was one to remember, held at the Natural History Museum with a circus theme and various dishes from around the world.
