Product Description
I captured this hellebore after I was introduced to Helen Ballard’s daughter, Ellen, who kindly allowed me free reign in the garden that was home to the very special hellebores that she was renowned for breeding. I was captivated by the atmosphere and life of hellebores that date back so many years ago. Ellen assured me that her mother would not have approved of many of the hellebores that have now self seeded all around the garden. She was a perfectionist when it came to hellebores, and many have self sown, become amazing flowers in their own right and have distributed themselves all over this magical place. This is just one that caught my eye.
This print is part of a collection that are also available as notecards.
