A very dear friend of mine, Liz and I set up Flourish & Green some 9 years ago in London, which we ran alongside our full time day jobs. We both loved working with flowers, which seemed to be quite natural to us, Liz being a very successful stylist and I working in garden design as an administrator and a photographer. After taking part in a few evening classes at the Jane Packer Flower School, we learnt the essential techniques on how to wire a buttonhole, create a circlet to name just a couple, after completing their wedding course we were told that there was nothing more they could teach us and we just had to get on out there! So several opportunities later we had embarked on doing some incredible weddings and had a stunning folio of work. We put on the most incredible display in The Dorchester during Chelsea 2012, as well as in Selfridges for our client Laurent Perrier. It’s only when I started to gather my images together that I saw the amount of beautiful work we did with flowers. We strived to keep to our loose country style though bent the rules here and there, as well as trying to use seasonal flowers and foliage wherever we could. We have fond memories of the those very early mornings, peanut butter on the best toast in London, cup of scolding tea and doing a trolley dash for flowers that we didn’t get in our order, then all guns blazing towards our venue. Great times!
A little time has passed now as Flourish and Green has busy with family life, but we now operate in both Gloucestershire and London, so please do get in touch should you have any floral requirements.
